Pell City: Gateway to Logan Martin Lake
City Website: With a population of over 16,000, we offer the conveniences of a large city and the friendliness of a small town. Birmingham is less than an hour away, while Atlanta, Chattanooga, Huntsville, and Montgomery are within a two hour drive. Pell City has a thriving business community, excellent education and recreational facilities.
Over 275 miles of shoreline on Logan Martin Lake offers water recreation and relaxation for residents and visitors of Pell City. The lake is used for camping, fishing, skiing, swimming, sailing and many other water activities. The popular B.A.S.S. Masters Classic fishing tournament which includes the top professional bass fisherman in the world has been hosted here on numerous occasions.
Away from the lake, Pell City centers around more than 30 churches and a city school system with an excellent reputation statewide. Within 50 miles of Pell City are 11 colleges and universities and 7 vocational-technical schools and the Jefferson State Community College is within the city limits.
The Pell City Center for Education and the Performing Arts is home to a 2000 seat sports arena and a 400 seat state of the art theater.
Rotary of Pell City: The Rotary Club of Pell City, Alabama was founded April 26, 1974 with 25 members. Now more than 100 members strong we continue to strive to represent the high ideals of Rotary through our support of service projects both home and abroad.
Jefferson State Community College: Jefferson State Community College, one of Alabama's leading two-year colleges, has provided excellence in education and workforce training for the greater Birmingham area for over 40 years. Founded in 1965, Jefferson State offers more than 120 university transfer programs, 20 career programs with multiple options, and numerous certificate programs.
St Vincent's St. Clair: St. Vincent’s St. Clair (SVSC), formerly St. Clair Regional Hospital, is one of five facilities that make up the St. Vincent’s Health System. Part of Ascension Health, the largest non-profit and Catholic health organization in the country, SVSC provides a special brand of high-touch, high-tech quality care to people throughout St. Clair County. The facility offers skilled inpatient care and a variety of enhanced services, including pulmonary function, dialysis, and gastrointestinal labs.
